John Jacob Chezik

CHEZIK, John Jacob, 86, of Hopewell, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at his home. He was the son of the late Albert and Minnie Chezik. John was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore and Paul Chezik. Mr. Chezik was a foreman at Allied Chemical with 30 years of service, a member of the American Legion Post 146 and a U.S. Army Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn S. Chezik; a son, John A. Chezik and his wife, Peggy; a daughter, Judy C. Key; three grandchildren, John R. Key, Matthew J. Key and Travis J. Chezik; a brother, Albert C. Chezik; a very special friend, Harold E. Key II; and grandpuppies, Benji and Hazel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, and where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010, with Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S.
