Jonathan Kent Garnes

On July 1st, 2012 Jonathan Kent Garnes, 49 of Charleston, walked through the gates of heaven to be with God.

He was a graduate of Sissonville High School, and after an accident had left him in a wheelchair, he then graduated with honors from West Virginia State University in Business and Accounting and was recognized as a member of the Who's Who of American Students.

Preceded in death by his father Fernando W. Garnes and Betty E. Garnes of Charleston. Survived by brothers Ted Garnes, Kevin Garnes, and Chris Garnes of Charleston and sister Janeene Winslow of Texas.

Also survived by a small army of friends and relatives whom were generous, dedicated, loyal, and without fail to Jon's independence. One day, you will be rewarded.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday July 7, 2012 at the Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home 513 Tennessee Avenue Charleston.

Graveside services and burial will immediate follow at the Jenkins Cemetery, Kanawha Two Mile .
