Joseph Bryant (Buddy) Suddarth, Jr., 77, of Hopewell passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at John Randolph Hospital. He was retired from Phillip Morris and The Progress-Index. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 51 years, two sons, Scott Suddarth (Tricia) of Chester, VA, Lee Suddarth (Kathy) of Michigan, and two granddaughters, Sarah and Jordan Suddarth of Chester, VA., three sisters, Ruby Easton of Wake Forest, N.C., Linda Payne of Florida and Virginia Olson of Cheyenne, Wyoming, two brothers, James Suddarth of Chesterfield and Larry Suddarth of Charlottesville and numerous nephews, nieces and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA. Interment will be private.
