Canter, June Rimmer, 76, of Sandston, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 56 years, Paul C. Canter Jr.; sons, Paul Cliff Canter III (Patricia), and Tod Canter (Gail Bartee); half brothers, Jack Pittman, Ray Rimmer and Don Rimmer; grandchildren, Austin Canter and Nash Canter; and stepmother, Thelma Rimmer. June was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. June was a dedicated member for 35 years of Fort Lee Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth class. June was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, at Fort Lee Baptist Church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Lee Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 2727 Charles City Road, Richmond, VA 23231.
