Gloucester: June Williams Jeanfreau, 83, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. She was a retired bus driver from Gloucester County Public School's Transportation Department. June was a lady of many accomplishments. As a young lady she was an avid roller skater, competed in the Pan Am games and she also roller skated at Madison Square Garden.
She was a member of the Gloucester Moose Lodge, serving a number of capacities; a member of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Gloucester Women's Club. June knew no strangers and was a friend to many.
She was preceded in death by parents, Malvern and Sarah Pugh; husbands, Raymond Williams and Marcel Francis Jeanfreau; sons, Joe Thomas and Ray-Ray; and sisters, Shirley Elliott and Mary Lou Galloway.
She is survived by:
Sister: Marinette Elliott
A host of nieces and nephews
and special friends Linda Fulcher, Clem and Rose Marie Horsley, Eva Mae Tillage, Charles Parker
and Jack and Sandy Wright.
Funeral services officiated by Reverend W. Donald Ambrose will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
In June's memory donations may be given to Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P. O. Box 1417, Gloucester, Virginia 23061.
