Lai Luen Yam, 76, of Prince George passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Hopewell Health Care Center. Mr. Yam was the former owner of the Golden China Restaurant in Harrisonburg, VA. He is survived by his wife, Hun Che Chan Yam, four sons, Yee Wong Yam, Yee Yan Yam, Yee Kwan Yam and Yee Wai Yam, three daughters, Yin Fong Chan, Yin Fung Lo and Amy Yam Curry, nine grandsons, ten granddaughters and a great grandson. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell, VA and where funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
