Lawrence "Larry" Edward Burroughs II, 59, of Petersburg, Va. departed this life Thursday, September 15, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Grace Burroughs; and grandmother, Grace Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Burroughs; sister, Joan (Tom) Patrick; niece, April (Cliff) Lawson; nephew, Matthew Patrick; great nephews, Andrew Thomas Patrick and Shane Allen Lawson.
A retired electronics technician, Mr. Burroughs graduated from Petersburg High School in 1970, where he was active in the band. Music and computers were his favorite pastimes. He was also an avid bowler.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2-6PM at the Nelsen Funeral Home & Crematory, 214 N. 6TH Ave., Hopewell, Va. 23860. A graveside service will be held at Southlawn Cemetery Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00AM. Interment at will be at the same location.
