Lawrence Matthew Kersey III, 62 of Hanover County departed this life on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his home. He was born April 10, 1950 in Alexandria, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence M. Kersey, Jr., Corrinne M. Kersey and son, Lawrence M. Kersey IV. He is survived by two daughters, Dawn R. Johnson and her husband Scott and Dana M. Kersey; his wife of 38 years, Virginia M. (Sue) Kersey; two brothers, Vernon E. Kersey and Carlton J. Kersey; sister, Ann M. Kersey; grandchildren, Ashley L. Buck, Samantha M. Tingen, Britany L. Tingen; 8 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12th at 1:00 PM at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with burial to follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover Courthouse. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Thurday from 11:00 – 1:00 PM. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to VCU Massey Cancer Center P.O. Box 843042 Richmond VA 23284.
