Hayes: LEE STANLEY "STAN" LINKOUS, formerly of Williamsburg, Virginia died July 28, 2012 at the age of 76. Preceded in death by his parents-Driskoll Lee Linkous and Willie Albirdia Linkous Kirby, he is survived by daughters Debbie L. Thomas and husband Chris; Karen L. Fuller; Catherine L. Blackwell and husband Kelly; grandchildren Ryan (wife Amanda) and Austin (wife Nikole) Otey, Katelyn, Makenzie, and Hunter Blackwell and Kathleen Fuller; step-great grandchildren McKayla & Nick; sisters Jean Hall and Brenda (husband Randy) Norwood; former wife and friend Norma L. Wyatt, and two uncles and one aunt.

Born November 6, 1935 in Montgomery County, VA; Stan served two years in the United States Army, and was later employed as a painter during the restoration of Colonial Williamsburg. He left CW to start his own business as a wall paper hanger. A talented vocalist & guitar player, in 1960-1970s he enjoyed performing country-western music with local bands. He was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose-Lodge 757; enjoyed bowling and playing golf and was an avid Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals fan.

Visitation with family will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A memorial service officiated by Reverend Thomas Tipton will follow the visitation at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
