Leona Mowell Bentley, 48, of Sparta died Friday, July 13, 2012. Born in Maryland, she is survived by her mother and step-father, Ethel and Leonard Vaughn; three children, Michelle Russell, Melissa Bentley and Tanya McFall; her companion, John Crabtree; three sisters, Juanita Reed, Patricia Brooks and Linda Bentley; a step-sister, Bobbie Payne; eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Bentley and a brother, Emory Mowell.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial will follow in Lakewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday, July 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
