Leroy I. Dean, Sr., 72, of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011.He is survived by his wife of 36 years Charlotte M. Dean, 2 sons, Leroy I. Dean, Jr. and his wife Maria and William E. VanSickle and his wife Joanne, one brother Hubert Dean of Church Hill, VA, a sister Eula Garnes of Lenoir, N.C.,
three grandchildren, Todd Ashley and wife Amy, Tiffiany Merritt and husband Robert and Timmothy VanSickle and wife Jessica, eight great
grandchildren; Austin Thomas VanSickle (deceased) Trevor Roby, Ryan Ashley, Brenden Merritt, Hunter Ashley, Ciera Ashley, Christian VanSickle and
Leland VanSickle.He was preceded in death by his mother and father Fannie and Willie Dean, and a brother Joe Dean.The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, June 13th in the Nelsen Funeral Home 214 N 6th Ave., Hopewell. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, June 14th in Sunset Memorial Park.
