Mr. Lloyd B. (Pretty) Ambrose, Sr.

I have so many memories of Uncle Pretty - his home was where we traveled to for vacations growing up. When I grew up and got married, the wedding was out of town, and while many didn't come, my Uncle Pretty and his family made the trip. It meant (and still means) so much to me.

My Uncle Pretty and Aunt Sadie took care of me, many times during my father's illness and death, and it was Uncle Pretty's hand I held the day my Moma told me that Daddy had passed away. Growing up with Uncle Pretty was a true blessing. He helped me learn to do the right thing and to "tow the line". He played plenty pranks on us kids and I will always cherish his laugh.
