Lois Elaine Roberts passed away on August 31, 2012. Lois was born in November 1922 in Racine, Wisconsin but made Virginia her home for nearly 60 years. During World War II, she operated a crane for a factory that made tanks before marrying her childhood sweetheart, Arthur Roberts. She was an active member of several women's clubs in the area and supported several charities. She is survived by numerous family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, on Saturday, September 8 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at 2:00 PM that afternoon at Cedar Grove Cemetery. If you have a red hat, please wear it to the service. She would like that.
