Hayes: Lola Mae Haywood, age 70 went to her Heavenly home on January 9, 2012. Lola Mae was a very active member of Union Baptist Church since 1951 and a proud member of the Cornerstone Sunday School class. She enjoyed laughing and being with her family and friends. Lola Mae sought and found the good and beauty in everything she encountered. She will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Haywood; parents Stephenson B. and Lola Hall Swindeck; and brother James B. Swindeck.
She is survived by:
Sons: Stephen L. Haywood
Douglas R. Haywood and wife Sarah
Twin daughters: Carmen Haywood
Susan H. Jenkins and husband Greg
Grandchildren: Lauren Jenkins-Felger
Holly D. Jenkins
Wesley Haywood
Great grandchildren: Hannah, Savannah Riley, Jacob and Brentley
Nephew: William B. Swindeck
Funeral services officiated by Reverend Richard Whiteheart will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Union Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
