Malen (M.C.) Clinton Stacy
Malen (M.C.) Clinton Stacy, age 89 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at Indian Path Hospital with his family at his side.
Malen was born in Pardee, Virginia to the late M.C. and Bertha (Beatrice) Stacy. He bravely served his country as a Medic in the 17th Airborne Division of the United States Army during World War II. He retired from Mead Paper after 38 years of service and was a member of North Kingsport Church of God where he loved to worship and serve Jesus. Malen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Malen was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald and Bobby Jean Stacy; and two sisters, Laura Kate Lane and Ina Brooks.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Stacy; sons, Tom Stacy and wife Deloris of Kingsport, Danny Stacy of Kingsport and Ronny Stacy and wife Kimberly of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Linda Ragle and husband Gary of Mt. Carmel; grandchildren, Brian Ragle, Danny Stacy, Jr., Sheri Bowen, Shawne Myers and husband John, Sara Stacy and Morgan Carter; great-grandchildren, Tyler Bowen, Will Myers, John Carter Myers, Heather Bowen, Aleah Sanders and Eric Sanders; and sisters, Josaphine Parks, Dorothy Kidd, Georgia Havens and Lois Hohenberger.
The family will receive friends in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home on Monday, November 12th, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Tim Owen and Rev. Leighton Roberts, officiating.
A military graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Garden of Meditation at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Military rites will be accorded by Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 of the American Legion.
Tyler Bowen, Danny Stacy, Jr., Brian Ragle, and members of North Kingsport Church of God Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the North Kingsport Church of God, 2409 North John B. Dennis Hwy, Kingsport, TN 37660.
