Margaret L. Cowell, 88 of Doswell died Monday, December 17, 2012 in Bowling Green Health and Rehab Center. Born in King & Queen, she was the widow of William Welton Cowell Jr.

Survivors include her children, Amy C. Blanton and her husband, Jimmy of Bowling Green; William Welton "Billy" Cowell III and his wife, Barbara of Doswell and Dennis Ray Cowell and his wife, Judy of Ruther Glen; two sisters, Dorothy Lucille "John" Pickett of Doswell and Shirley "Pokey" Elliott of St. Stephens Church; six grandchildren ; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends who will always remember her for her quick wit, fashion sense and ability to remember important dates, birthdays and anniversaries. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Littlepage.

The family will receive friends at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A graveside funeral will follow on Thursday December 20th at 11:00 AM in Fork Episcopal Church, Doswell, with Rev. Charles Joy officiating.
