Margaret Elizabeth Worrell Carter, 93, of Richmond, went home to be with Jesus on February 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wilbur Carter; parents, Beatrice and William Worrell; and three brothers, Ronald, Eugene, and William Worrell. She is survived by her son, Wayne S. Carter (Jeanne); daughter, Cheryl C. Eberly (Bobby); six grandchildren, Kathy Watkins (Terry), Mark Carter (Aina), Jennifer Carson (Ben), Heather Knowles (James), Kristen Pierce (David), and Leanne Coston (Duane); nine great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. She worked for many years at Richmond Technical Center, and over her lifetime was a member of Fairmount Christian Church, Immanuel Baptist Church, and more recently, Four Mile Creek Baptist Church. Margaret was a dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where service will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to International Mission Board, 3806 Monument Ave. Richmond, VA 23230.
