Caudle, Margaret Jewell, 81, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2012. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Wayne T. Jewell; and her daughter, Brenda Mae Jewell. Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was also a former member of the Woman's Auxiliary and a Den leader for the club scouts when her boys were young. She is survived by her sons, Michael W. Jewell (Gloria) and Jeffery H. Jewell (Barb); daughters, Patricia J. Ross (Harvey(dec.)) and Janice J. Doane (Steve); grandchildren, Jarrett, Julie, Jason, Matthew, Eric, Dwayne, Landon, Shannon, Quentin, Nicholas, Ryan, and Erin; and thirteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA. The services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church located at 800 Thompson Street, Ashland, VA 23005. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to The First Baptist Church Building Fund
