Mrs. Margaret Louise Johnston

Margaret was a wonderful friend & co-worker to my brother, George, for many years. The many times that I got to spend with her were always special. She lit up the room with her smile & always had a kind word or funny story to make you feel better about life. She will be truly missed.

Aunt Margaret, you will live on in my heart forever as you now live in eternity with the Lord. The memories I have are precious and many and I am fortunate to have had you as my aunt. The void your passing leaves can never be filled. Rest In Peace Aunt Margaret, I love you.

I walk around singing Girl Scout songs at work every day. While thinking my songs a bit odd, my co-workers cannot help but laugh when they hear those songs. My Scouting years with the entire Johnston double-first cousins family were formative--and that is a good thing! I am very happy to have moved back to Hopewell and re-friended the Johnston family for the last 12 years. I will very much miss my Scout leader, mother/aunt to my classmates. She was, beyond doubt, one of the best influences in my life and a dear adult friend.

Aunt Margaret was one of the most amazing people I have had the chance to know. She lived life to the fullest and left the greatest impression on my husband and children. I will always be grateful to her for being Jacob's Godmother and will continue to cherish all the wonderful memories we have of her.

Margaret was the joy of my life. In my four years as the Pastoral Associate at St. James Church, Margaret served as my "volunteer secretary". What started as a nice working relationship quickly turned into a friendship that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Margaret was gentle, calm, patient ( she needed that with me!), and loving. She did many things in the background at St. James that a lot of people never knew, like sending birthday

She did many things in the background at St. James that a lot of people never knew, like sending birthday cards to all of the young people at St. James from the time they were in the Kindergarten Religious Ed. Program until they graduated for High School. She paid for the whole thing and yet never took credit. Most of all she was the kind of person you wanted to be around and found easy to love. I pray that now she has rest and health with her God and that one day we will be together again. To Virgil, her devoted son, Peggy, and Connie, you have my deepest sympathy and gratitude that you allowed me to share her life. We will all miss her very much!
