Marion Francis McKeag, known as "Mac" to his friends, passed away on August 25, 2012. Prior to moving to Williamsburg in 2004, Mac was a long time resident of Northern Virginia, where he and his beloved late wife, Ginny, participated in several ballroom dancing groups in VA and MD. Mac was a military veteran, retiring from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He then went on to have another full career as a Department of the Navy civilian, retiring as a GM-13 with Navy Broadcasting. Mac and Ginny loved to entertain in their home and enjoyed traveling around the world. Mac's first wife, Patricia McKeag, preceded him in death in 1977. He second wife, Ginny, preceded him in death in 2008. He is survived by his son, Kelly McKeag; daughter, Lana Diekemper; daughter, Zita Mason and her husband, Randy Mason; as well as six grandchildren. A cryptside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery next to his angel, Ginny, on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10 AM. Online condolences may be offered at www.nelsencares.com.
