Choate, Mary, a life long native of Dallas, was born on September 17, 1933 in Dallas, Texas to Irwin G. & Sarah LaBarba Birdsong and went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Sherman and William Birdsong; sister-in-law, Raye Albright Birdsong; and one grandson, Robert (Bobby) Hattersley. Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert E. Choate (Bob); children, Sheri Ross (Michael), Cheryl Sorrells (Randy), Patsy Caruthers (Casey), Lois Choate, Norma Auvenshine; grandchildren, Robert, Ronnie, Jamie (Patrick), Andy (Ashley), Brian (Angie), Clay (Stephanie), Debbie, Shawn, Jennifer; and numerous great grandchildren. She was a Forest Avenue High School alumni, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She lost her battle with cancer and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Friday,December 21, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Restland Wildwood Chapel.
