Mavis H. Greene

Gloucester: Mavis H. Greene passed from this life on Saturday afternoon, August 11, 2012, at the age of 71. Mavis, a native of Gloucester County, was born August 22, 1940 to the late Edward and Louise J. Haywood. She was retired from Eastern State Hospital after thirty years. Mavis was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She spent most of her life caring for her children, parents, the many people she took care of each day at her job and the love of her life, Ellis, her husband, who preceded her in death in 2009. She always had a smile and an accepting way, giving all a sense of confidence and the feeling of her "loving hand". She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service officiated by Reverend Dr. Richard Croxton will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
