Mr. Merwin L. "Johnny" Johnson, Sr.

Merwin Lee "Johnny" Johnson, Sr., 77, of St Stephens Church, VA, originally from Remsen, NY, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Margaret Johnson; son, Merwin Lee Johnson Jr. "Johnny"; daughters, Karen Mclaren, Elizabeth Marie Jones, Carolyn Kimberly Fink, Jennifer Lynn Cornell and husband, James; one brother, Wally Johnson of Courtland, NY; eight grandchildren, Judy, Joni, and George Jr. Rowe, Dawn Nicole and Michael D. Britton, Jessica L. Fink, James Hunter and Kelsie Michelle Cornell; eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. A Chapel service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, January 7, 2013. Interment to follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover, VA.
