Mildred Watts Witt, 84, of Williamsburg, VA, and formerly of Lynchburg, VA, passed away on July 3, 2012. Mildred was a member of James River Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, dancing, traveling and reading. She was also a great cook. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Brent Witt; daughter, Marie Shipman (Roger); grandchildren, Travis Leeper and Tiffany Short; great-granddaughter, Kyndall Leeper; nephew, John Blelloch (Wanda); and great-nephew, Chris Blelloch (Heather). The family will receive friends on Friday, July 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Funeral services will be held at James River Baptist Church, 4931 Centerville Road, Williamsburg on Saturday, July 7 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
