Nellie F Spence, 74, of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband John Spence, daughter; Vicky E. Duty, son; James Christopher Luck, three stepsons; Alvin, Tracy, Shawn Spence, one stepdaughter; Betty Hawks, a special stepdaughter in law Crystal Spence, one granddaughter; Jennifer M Coates, 15 step grandchildren, two brothers; Durwood Newsome “Chuck” and his wife Suzanna of Mechanicsville VA, Keith Newsome of Roanoke Rapids NC, one special sister Doris Jewett of Richmond, VA, and other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday April 6, 2010 at the Nelsen Funeral Home 214 N. 6th Ave Hopewell VA, 23860 where services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday April 7, 2010, interment to follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
