Orman Rush McClure, 81, of New Kent went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2012. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Joy S. McClure; son, Kerry McClure; daughter, Pamela Richmond (Curtis); numerous step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; one brother, Walter McClure; one sister, Mildred Turner. Orman worked as a civilian for the U.S. Navy at NSWCDD Dahlgren, Virginia. He started his career there in January 1960, working for 30 years as a high speed scientific photographer. He previously worked as a coal miner in Greenbrier Co., West Virginia. He was a snappy dresser, and he loved automobiles, golf and his church family. He was quick –witted, always able to make people laugh. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012, 2PM at Emmaus Baptist Church, Rt.64 and Rt. 106, Providence Forge, Virginia 23140. Interment will follow at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: The Emmaus Baptist Church General Fund.
