Rachel G. Allen, 87 of Bowling Green died Monday February 6, 2012 in Bowling Green Health and Rehab Center. The widow of Howard E. Allen, she was a member and sang in the choir at Hopewell United Methodist Church and had worked at the Fredericksburg Auto Auction.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Allen and his wife, Sharon of Ladysmith; a daughter, Caroleen Carter and her husband, Lee Roy of Ruther Glen; three grandchildren, J.C. Allen and his wife Tara, Michelle Overton Hines and her husband Chuck and Lisa Carter and six great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, February 8th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Howard Satterwhite officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
