WHEELER, Robert J, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at home on 10/23/2010 surrounded by his loved ones. Born 11/29/1929, he was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother and half-brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty, two daughters and two sons – Jill and her husband Scott Everett of Spring, Tx; Robert A. Wheeler of Lima, Oh; Lee and her husband Wayne Bergen of Va Beach, Va; Scott and his wife Nicole Wheeler of Fairfax Station, Va; 9 grandchildren – Scott and Michael Everett, Kevin and Jenna Wheeler, Kelsey and Graham Bergen, Kyler, Jason and Ellis Wheeler; 4 great-grandchildren – Scotty, Trippton, Ryder and Emma Everett; two brothers – James E and his wife Susan Wheeler; John W (Bill) and his wife Carolyn Wheeler, both of Dayton, Oh; sister-in-law Connie Kaiser of Dayton, Oh; 4 nieces and 2 nephews. A memorial service will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N 6th Ave, Hopewell Va on Saturday, 11/13/2010 at 2pm with visitation until 4pm. Interment will occur at Arlington National Cemetery 1/24/2011.
