Knighton, Robert L., 46, of Richmond, entered into eternity to be with the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. He is preceded in death by Casey R. Knighton (daughter) and Dorothy Knighton (step-mother). Robert is survived by his wife Laurie A. Knighton; daughters, Hannah G. and Sophie L.; parents, Robert B. Knighton, Jr. and Virginia T. Knighton; brother, Thomas S. Knighton and wife Cathy; father-in-law, Gordon T. Wyrick, Sr.; mother-in-law, Grace P. Wyrick; brother-in-law, William T. Elliott; sister-in-law, Sallie Elliott; brother-in-law, Gordon T. Wyrick, Jr.; also many uncles, aunts, nephews, great-nephew, cousins, friends, and co-workers. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Forest Grove United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
