Robert L. Raymond, 87, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away August 5, 2012. He was born in Lockport, NY and retired to Williamsburg in 1986.

Bob worked for Niagara Mohawk Power Company in NY for 44 years. Upon retirement he joyfully worked at the Golden Horseshoe as a ranger/starter on the golf course. He was a former Mason and Master of his Lodge in Dunkirk, NY. He was a Deacon of the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Colonial Williamsburg.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois S. Raymond; children, Rebecca L. Whiteside (Stephen) of Raleigh, NC, Robert L. Raymond Jr. (Donna) of Wenonah, NJ, Barbara Raymond-LaPrease (Charles) of Baldwinsville, NY; grandsons, Christopher R. Whiteside of Charleston, SC and Jeffrey C. Whiteside of Raleigh, NC; step-grandsons, Charles and Nicholas LaPrease of Baldwinsville, NY; step-great-grandson, Jason Williams of Baldwinsville, NY; and sister-in-law, Katharina Short of Flat Rock, NC. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the charity of your choice in memory of Robert L. Raymond.
