Rodney J. Prophitt, II, 35, of Fredericksburg died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012. Surivivors include his mother and stepfather, Victoria and Daniel Carter of Ruther Glen; his sister, Brandy Edwards of North Carolina; his brother, Travis Carter of Ashland; and nephews, Caiden carter, Ryan and Dylan Flannery and Damien Edwards. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., friday, Jan. 27, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church, Ladysmith. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Beaverdam.
