Rome J. Kubik Jr., 85, of Williamsburg, passed away on August 11, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie Kubik and his daughter, Nadia Van Camp. He is survived by his daughter, Delia Dubois and her husband, Carey, and grandchildren, Nicole and Justin Dubois.

After serving in the Navy during the Pacific Theatre towards the close of World War II, Mr. Kubik received an AB degree from Columbia College in New York City. He went on to receive his MBA degree from the School of Business, University of Michigan in 1950. Mr. Kubik worked as a CPA in the Petroleum Industry and traveled the world while working in the accounting field. In 2003, he was named an honorary 50 year member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. After his retirement, he joined the Susan Fund as its treasurer, a position he held until 2006, when he moved to Williamsburg, VA. In his spare time, he enjoyed tennis and pickle ball.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16 from 9-11 AM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park on Friday, August 17 at 11 AM.
