Roy G. Smith Jr., 54 of Woodford died Sunday September 16, 2012 at his home. He was a dedicated truck driver for 24 years and retired as a heavy equipment operator at Ft. A.P. Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Myrtle Smith and his sister, Patsy Shimchick. Survivors include his daughters, Erica Oliver, Jennifer Johnson and Danielle Burruss; three sisters, Carol Brooks, Susan Lockwood and Robbin Taylor; three grandchildren, Alyssa and Drew Burke and Ryleigh Oliver and his fiancé, Penny Crabtree.

A funeral service will be Wednesday September 19th at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
