Ruth Smith Falkinburg

Gloucester Point: Ruth Smith Falkinburg, 88, died December 23, 2011 at Sanders Assisted Living. She was retired civil service from Naval Weapon Station and a member of Union Baptist Church. Ruth's was a life well lived; a daily celebration of the joys of family, friendships and faith. We were touched by her kindness, generosity and extraordinary spirit, and will be inspired by her memory forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Falkinburg; parents, Marion Lee and Nellie Blake Smith; brothers, Vernon Smith, Marion Smith and Marshall Smith.
She is survived by:
Nieces: Camille Dec and husband Pete
Bobbette Yarman and husband Ralph
Great Nephew: Brian M. Dec
And a host of friends
Funeral services officiated by Reverend Dr. Rodney Autry and Reverend Richard Whiteheart will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday prior to the service from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
