O'Dell, Sandra Kay Payne, 71, of Sandston, VA passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012. Sandra was the Director of Admitting at the old Johnston-Willis Hospital and retired as a secretary from Hermitage Tech Center. She was a long time member of Antioch Baptist Church. Sandra was the former owner of "Crafts by Just One" that she operated out of her home.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Arthur Ray O'Dell; son, Ray B. O'Dell (Mary R. O'Dell); three grandchildren, Michael R. O'Dell, Kristin O'Dell Walker and Brian Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Kimberlee Walker and Elizabeth O'Dell.
The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 6 – 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 3868 Antioch Church Road, Sandston, VA 23150 on Thursday, July 5 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
