Robins, Sarah Elizabeth Ammons "Betty", 82, of Sandston, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Benjamin Russell Robins, III. She is survived by her children; Judith R. Pittman (Jim), Robin R. Riggins (Sid), David M. Robins (Kathy) and Kimberly R. Howle (Tom); grandchildren, Lisa, Karen, Donna and Lauren Riggins, Gentry Howle and Benjamin Robins IV; sisters, Isabelle Nuckols and Margaret Burruss (Buck). Betty was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher for 60 years. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, VA 23231 where services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment is to follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 911, Sandston, VA 23150 or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, North Carolina 28201.
