Shirley Evey Jodon, 78, of Williamsburg, passed away on January 9, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Helen Evey; brother, Edmund Evey Jr.; and daughter, Susan Jodon Brown.

Shirley graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and attended Penn State. She was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. She was also an active member of Williamsburg Baptist Church and a volunteer at the St. George Tucker House in Colonial Williamsburg. She loved traveling and lived for her grandchildren. An avid sports fan, Shirley supported the Baltimore Orioles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Shirley will be missed by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Lee Jodon; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Eric Hetrick; son-in-law, Patrick Brown; and grandchildren, Kyle Hetrick, Kevin Hetrick and Kaitlin Brown.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 12 from 6-8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 13 at Nelsen Funeral Home. Interment will be at Williamsburg Memorial Park, followed by a reception at Williamsburg Baptist Church, 227 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg.
