Mrs. Susan Holmes Lahmon

Lahmon, Susan Holmes, 44, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, John R. Holmes Sr.; and maternal grandfather, Edward "Bubba" Holmes (Pa-Pa). Susan is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Lahmon; mother, Carolyn S. Holmes; brother, John Holmes Jr.; father-in-law, Lloyd H. Lahmon; maternal grandmother, Frances K. Holmes; an uncle, four aunts and numerous cousins and friends. Susan was a very compassionate caregiver and former employee of CareMed. She was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church, as well as a former E.M.T. with Ashcake Rescue Squad. Susan was an animal lover, especially loved cats and her hobbies included cooking, crafts and geneology. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, Hanover, VA.
