Thelma Jordan Gurnsey

Thelma Jordan Gurnsey, 73, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Evelyn Loving; brothers, Rixie, James, Maxie, Thomas and sisters, Elsie and Marion. Thelma is survived by her son, James E. Jordan, Jr. and wife, Debra L. Jordan; daughter, Lori Jordan Robertson and husband, Scott Robertson; brothers, Larry and Leonard Loving; sisters, Dorothy Ham, Elenor Loving and Judy Ferrell; grandchildren, Chris, Kristen and Kaitlyn Jordan and Casey Lynne and Olivia Paige Robertson. Thelma was an active member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2101 Carlisle Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 with interment to follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church Window Fund.
