Therese Ann (Ward) Geenty, 85, formerly of Newington, CT and Palm Coast, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 24th at her home in Burke, VA. She attended the University of Connecticut where she was Vice President of her Pi Beta Phi chapter, met her future husband, Bill., and graduated in 1948 with a BS in Microbiology. Terry and Bill were married in 1949. She worked in Cancer Research and as a licensed Medical Technologist in hospitals in New York and Connecticut, retiring from the U.S. Veteran's Hospital in Newington, CT in 1989. Terry and Bill then relocated to Palm Coast, FL, where they spent many happy years with friends, as active members of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Irish Club, Italian Club, and other social organizations. They enjoyed staying in their condo on the ocean in Daytona Beach, cruising, and traveling to see their children's families.
