Vaughn, Virginia Brooks, 86, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leava T. Vaughn. She is survived by a son, Charles Wilson and his wife, Cathie; a daughter, Patsy Cocke and her husband, Richard; a loving grandson, Rusty and his wife, Cara; a great-grandson, Colton Lee Vaughn; and her brothers, James, Ralph and Curtis; as well as other family and friends. She was a retired supervisor for Virginia State Police.

A graveside service will be held on Wed., Dec. 14, 2011 at 12 pm at Woodland Cemetery, Ashland, VA, with Dr. David Benjamin officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland.
