Virginia Clara Heywood

Gloucester: Virginia Clara Heywood, 79, died January 18, 2012 at her home. Virginia was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard, especially her flower gardens. For a number of years she worked at several of the hair salons in Gloucester. She made friends easily and never met a stranger. She will be missed, but memories of Virginia will last forever.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Heywood, Sr. and son, Robert A. Heywood, Jr.
She is survived by:
2 daughters: Brenda Romero and husband Johnnie
Paula James and husband James
Son: William Mitchell Heywood
Sisters: Elsie Bowie
Patsy Waters
Brother: Johnnie Lynch
6 grandchildren
10 great grandchildren
And her special kitty "Scooby-Doo"
A service of celebration of her life, officiated by Reverend W. Donald Ambrose will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Inurnment will be private.
