Vivian Marshall Garrett, 87, of Bowling Green passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Pulaski on November 13, 1924, Mrs. Garrett was a long time member of Bowling Green United Methodist Church. She was an active volunteer and helped to start the Caroline County Library and a volunteer for over 20 years at the Red Cross Bloodmobile in Caroline County. She worked for a number of years as proof reader for The Caroline Progress, but her main occupation was as homemaker for her family.
She is survived by her husband, of 62 years, L. David Garrett; one son, Allen Marshall Garrett; one brother, Barry Marshall; two grandsons, Michael Deaver and Joshua Alexander. She was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence David Garrett.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Bowling Green United Methodist Church .
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bowling Green United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 513, Bowling Green, VA. 22427
