Sue, Jonathan and Tina,
Wayne was my dear friend from Tuesday morning Bible Study. I sat next to him and as people would speak and raise topics he was quick to thumb through his Bible, nudge me and show me relevant and related scripture, he couldn't help but share his enthusiasm.

I occasionally spoke to him while he was driving to North Carolina and I was on the road with my job. He always cheerful and upbeat, he loved sharing worship opportunities,

He only had to remind me once when I was whining about the weather or some other thing I couldn't control, that "this is the day the Lord has made. rejoice..." and I know he did rejoice every day..

I know he cherished you, his family because he said so. He certainly has been a blessing to so many and he will be missed.

Pastor Wayne was so inspiring! He loved and truly knew God's word and loved to tell about God's goodness. He was a wonderful teacher and friend. I will truly miss him. I am honored to have known of and learned from him.

The news of Wayne's passing was very emotional for me, J Early Wood had left a message on my phone, as he often does. I went in to tell my wife on Sunday evening and broke down immediately as I reminded her who he was and how deeply he had touched me back when I first met him approximately 5 years ago, at the Needles Eye Tuesday Morning Bible Study. He was an immediate good friend and we became very close in the Lord and prayed and studied together often.
I know that this is going to be very hard for Sue and the familiy as Wayne was the absolute best husband/family leader I have ever seen. He and Sue always made me feel so welcome at their home and at their Caroline Christian Center Church up on route one. Wayne will be missed in so many ways by so many people.
I am certain of one thing for sure, if it was not Wayne's time to go home, he would still be here...God loves Wayne as He loves Sue and the whole family...I pray that he will comfort them as only He can during this time of mourning. We will all miss you Wayne, however we look forward to seeing you soon, when the time comes for each of us to join you in the King's House, Amen.

Wayne was a strong spiritual brother to me whom I meet first at a Tuesday morning Needles Eye Ministry bible study several years ago, then introduced him to a Wednesday morning study group. He rarely missed either meeting and was a supernatural blessing and mentor in the Word for me personally. His love and deep understanding of the Word touched my heart and opened my spirit to a new found love of Christ. Wayne was a faithful husband and loving father who would do anything for a friend in need. He has finished the journey well and given us all a rich blessing in Jesus's name! My guardian angel on earth has returned home, to our heavenly Father who said, "Well done, my good and faithful son." We love and miss you, Wayne.

Sue, Tina, grands, Jonathan my love and prayers are with you. Pastor Wayne and I go way back. He my friend and embraced my whole family. We use to come out to the house and just hang out Tina, Shameake, famiy and me. We have cried together, prayed together, and fun as well. He was helpful and one who follows through, an encourager no matter what. We have many fond memories...
