WILLARD "WILLY" SEXTON

FAYETTEVILLE – Willard "Willy" Sexton, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Pine Lodge Nursing Home, Beckley.
Born on August 1, 1929 at Kaymoor, he was the son of the late Roy and Marie Callahan Sexton.
Willy was a disabled US Navy Veteran and a Charter Member of American Legion Post 149, Fayetteville. He was a member of Kaymoor Community Church. Willy loved music, the outdoors, and being with family and friends. He never met a stranger and will be missed in the community.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Frances Conner in 2001.
Survivors include his sister, Helen Jones of Jackson, Michigan; nephews, Randall Conner and wife, Pat of Fayetteville, WV, and Billy Ray Jones of Jackson, Michigan; niece, Teresa Simmons of Jackson, Michigan; and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, December 31, 2012 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Eddie Persinger officiating. Burial with military honors by America Legion Post 149 will be conducted at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Willy's memory to Hospice of Southern WV, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802-1472.
