William Albert "Bushead" Robins, 83, of Sandston, VA passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while surrounded by his beloved family on February 7, 2013. Bushead was born May 29, 1929 to the late Margaret and Benjamin Russell Robins, Jr. He is preceded in death by his loving son Kent W. Robins; sisters, Liz Stoyanoff, Virginia White, Ella Halterman, and brother B.R. Robins III. Bushead leaves to cherish his memory, his "Sugababe" Frances B. Robins, wife of 54 years, and his children Mark Robins (Teresa), Marsha Clements (Ron), Penny Groome (Gordon), Shelly Hunkele (Tommy), and sister Mabel Marshall. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Ami Steele, Gerald Baker, Tiffany Robins, Jeff Groome, Micah Groome, Kristina Blake, Lesley Mannino, David Clements, Gabrielle and Thomas Hunkele; and, 14 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Seth, LeAnna, Pierce, Faith, CJ, Ethan, McKayla, Leah, Christian, Dane, Justin, Charlestyn, and Matteo who all lovingly called him "Pop." Bushead truly loved life and his many, many friends and extended family. He never met a stranger and lived every day to the fullest. We will gather together at Nelsen Funeral Home at 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue from 6 to 8PM Saturday, February 9, 2013 and Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM. Services will be held at 11AM on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Sandston Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org/support or 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
