Snyder, William H. "Bill", 79, of Varina, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Ruby Snyder; son, Roger Snyder; daughter, Linda Monger; grand-daughters, Kelly Jean and Allison; brothers, Ralph, Carl, Harvey, Art and Dewey Snyder; sister, Catherine Sweet; daughter-in-law, Diane Hill. He is survived by his sons, Ray Snyder (Sandy), Mike Snyder (Pat), Raymond Snyder; daughters, Kathy Snyder (Johnny Walker), Betty Gravatt (Campbell); daughter-in-law, Lorna Snyder and son-in-law, Jerry Monger; siblings, Margaret Shover, Robert Snyder, Sr. (Peggy) and Edward Snyder (Donna); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great grand-daughter and beloved canine companion, Shadow.

Bill enjoyed gardening, fishing and was a devoted member of his church; but most of all he loved his family and was extremely proud of his work of 50 years in the rigging and crane operating industry. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 26 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue with funeral services to be held on Friday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
