Mr. William Thomas Goodman, Sr.

GOODMAN, William T., Sr. "Pappy", 90, of Montpelier, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Josephine M. Goodman; his children, William T. Goodman, Jr. "Pappy" and his wife Frances, Robert M. Goodman, John E. Goodman and wife Gina, Mamie L. Hinckle, Rebecca D. Payne and husband Douglas, Linda S. Slayton, Emma Goodman-Marks and husband Robert, Melissa G, Byers and husband Chris; one sister, Mary Frances Pritchett; also, 21 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Mr. Goodman was a farmer and the owner of Goodman Lumber. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, Reid Chapel, 412 S. Wash. Hwy., Ashland, VA. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Beaverdam, VA, with burial in the church cemetery.
