Willie Terrell Smith, Jr., 45, of Hopewell passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the Medical College of Virginia Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Smith, four step-children, five step-great grandchildren, his mother and father, Willie T. Smith, Sr. and Betty G. Smith, two brothers, William Charles and Chris E. Smith, an aunt, Ann Arnold, also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell and where funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2011 with Rev. Bert Duckwall officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
