Wortha Kenneth Woodcock, 81, of Chester passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at
his home. Mr. Woodcock was preceded in death by his parents, Wortha Raymond
and Bertha Martin Woodcock and a sister, Frances Rudolph. Wortha was a
retired engineer from Allied Signal with thirty five years service, a U.S.
Navy veteran serving in the Korean War and a member of the Hopewell Assembly
of God. He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Woodcock, two sons, Kenneth
Woodcock and his wife, Charlotte, David Woodcock and his wife Londa, two
daughters, Lori Cates and her husband, Kevin, Teresa Withers and her
husband, Michael, seven grandchildren, a brother, Wilburn L. "Billy"
Woodcock and his wife, Sandra, two sisters, Jean W. Moore and her husband,
Joe, Helen Stewart and her husband, Jim. The family will receive friends
from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Nelsen Funeral Home,
214 N. 6th Avenue, Hopewell and where funeral services will be conducted
11:00 am Thursday, July 21, 2011 with Pastor Larry Briggs officiating.
Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park. Condolences may be
